Display device

A display device comprising:

• a plurality of scanning signal lines and a plurality of video signal lines in a display area in which one pixel is configured by an area surrounded by adjacent two of the plurality of scanning signal lines and adjacent two of the plurality of video signal lines;
• one of a semiconductor chip for a driver circuit and a terminal portion for being connected to a flexible printed board, provided in a peripheral area next to the display area;
• a plurality of lead lines that electrically connect one group of the plurality of scanning signal lines and the plurality of video signal lines to the one of the semiconductor chip and the terminal portion;
• an insulating film over the plurality of lead lines to cover the plurality of lead lines;
• and
• a conductive film over the insulating film,
• wherein
• the plurality of lead lines include a first lead line and a second lead line, the second lead line having a lower wiring resistance from the one group of the plurality of scanning signal lines and the plurality of video signal lines to the one of the semiconductor chip and the terminal portion than that of the first lead line,
• the conductive film includes a first conductive film and a second conductive film, the first conductive film and the second conductive film being electrically connected with each other through a contact hole,
• the first conductive film overlaps with the one group of the plurality of scanning signal lines and the plurality of video signal lines in the display area, and
• the second conductive film overlaps with the first lead line in the peripheral area.
