Transparent display apparatus

A transparent display apparatus comprising:

• a light source configured to generate light;
• a first polarizing plate configured to transmit first polarized light from the light generated by the light source;
• a transparent light guide plate configured to change a path of the first polarized light, and to emit the light;
• a liquid crystal panel configured to change a phase of the first polarized light based on driving of liquid crystals;
• and
• a second polarizing plate configured to adjust an amount of the first polarized light based on the changed phase of the first polarized light,
• wherein the transparent light guide plate comprises:
• an incident surface on which the light is incident;
• an exit surface from which the incident light exits;
• a reflection surface situated opposite to the exit surface;
• and
• a plurality of micro-patterns, formed on the reflection surface, configured to diffuse the incident light.

A transparent display apparatus comprising:

• a light source configured to generate light;
• and
• a transparent light guide plate configured to change a path of the generated light, and to emit the light;
• wherein the transparent light guide plate comprises:
• an incident surface on which the light is incident;
• an exit surface from which the incident light exits;
• and
• a reflection surface situated opposite to the exit surface and comprising a plurality of micro-patterns.
