Abstract
According to one example, a system includes a flexural beam having a first face and a second face opposite the first face and a first coil of optical fiber coupled to the first face, where the first coil of optical fiber is encapsulated by a cured encapsulation composition, wherein the encapsulation composition has a viscosity from 30 to 300 millipascal-second at 25° C.
Claims21
A system, comprising:
- a flexural beam having a first face and a second face opposite the first face;
- and
- a first coil of optical fiber coupled to the first face, wherein the first coil of optical fiber is encapsulated by a cured encapsulation composition, wherein the encapsulation composition has a viscosity from 30 to 300 millipascal-second at 25° C.
A system comprising:
- a flexural beam having a first face and a second face opposite the first face;
- a first hub and a second hub extending from and coupled to the first face;
- and
- a first coil of optical fiber encompassing the first hub and the second hub, wherein the first coil of optical fiber has cross-hosing and is encapsulated by a substantially void free cured encapsulation composition;
1 more element
A method of forming an accelerometer comprising:
- attaching a first coil of optical fiber to a first hub and a second hub each coupled to a flexural beam;
- and
- encapsulating the first coil of optical fiber with a cured encapsulation composition.
