Abstract
A duct cover for a cold air duct of a refrigerator and a method of providing cold air. The duct cover has openings located on the side panels which allow cold air to flow to the storage room from the cold air duct in a lateral direction relative to the main panel of the duct cover. A three-dimensional pattern is formed on the surface of the duct cover to reduce surface adhesive between the condensed water drops and the duct cover surface.
Claims20
A duct cover for a cold air duct of a refrigerator, the duct cover comprising:
- a first panel coupled to the cold air duct and facing a front side of the refrigerator;
- and
- an second panel coupled to the first panel and oriented substantially orthogonal to the first panel, wherein the second panel comprises a first opening, wherein cold air is provided from the cold air duct to a storage chamber of the refrigerator via the first opening.
A method of providing cold air of a refrigerator, the method comprising:
- supplying cold air form a cold air duct to a storage chamber of the refrigerator via a duct cover;
- discharging the cold air from a main panel of the duct cover to a lateral direction relative to the main panel through first openings of an inner side panel;
- and
- guiding the cold air in a channel formed by a guide panel and the inner side panel and providing the cold air to a front of the duct cover.
A refrigerator comprising:
- a storage room;
- a cold air duct configured to transport cold air to the storage room;
- and
- a duct cover coupled to the cold air duct and comprising:
- a main panel coupled to the cold air duct and facing a front of the refrigerator;
- and
- an inner side panel coupled to the main panel and oriented substantially orthogonal to the main panel, wherein the inner side panel comprises a first opening, and wherein cold air is provided from the cold air duct to the storage room of the refrigerator via the first opening.
