Abstract
The present invention provides a system for regulating fluid flow made up of a solenoid valve interposed on a fluid supply line; a light switch that controls a light; a transformer with a primary side and a secondary side, wherein the primary side is placed in intermediate electrical communication with the light switch and the light, wherein the secondary side is in electrical communication with the solenoid valve, and wherein the solenoid valve allows flow through the fluid supply line when the light switch is activated and prevents flow through the fluid supply line when the light switch is deactivated.
Claims20
A system to regulate fluid flow, said system comprising:
- at least one electrical solenoid valve interposed on at least one fluid supply line wherein said solenoid valve is closed in the absence of electricity;
- a light switch that controls a light, the switch in electrical communication with the solenoid valve;
- and
- a transformer with a primary side and a secondary side, wherein the primary side is placed in intermediate electrical communication with the light switch and the light, wherein the secondary side is in electrical communication with the at least one solenoid valve, and wherein the at least one solenoid valve allows flow through the at least one fluid supply line when the light switch is activated and prevents flow through the at least one fluid supply line when the light switch is deactivated.
A system to regulate fluid flow, said system comprising:
- at least one solenoid valve interposed on at least one fluid supply line;
- a motion activated switch in electrical communication with the solenoid valve;
- and
- a transformer with a primary side and a secondary side, wherein the primary side is placed in electrical communication with the motion activated switch, wherein the secondary side is in electrical communication with the at least one solenoid valve, and wherein the at least one solenoid valve allows flow through the at least one fluid supply line when the motion activated switch is triggered and prevents flow through the at least one fluid supply line when the light switch is not triggered.
A method for regulating fluid flow into a room, the method comprising enabling fluid flow into the room only when an electrical signal indicates a person's entry into the room.
