Abstract
The invention relates to methods of preconditioning pretreated lignocellulose-containing material in the presence of a combination of laccase and beta-glucosidase. The invention also relates to processes of producing sugars and fermentation products including a step of preconditioning pretreated lignocellulose-containing material in the presence of a combination of laccase and beta-glucosidase. The invention also relates to compositions suitable for preconditioning.
Claims23
A process for preconditioning pretreated lignocellulose-containing material, the process comprising incubating the pretreated lignocellulose-containing material with laccase and beta-glucosidase.
-13. (canceled)
A process for producing a hydrolysis product from pretreated lignocellulose-containing material, the process comprising:
- preconditioning a pretreated lignocellulose-containing material, the preconditioning comprising incubating the pretreated lignocellulose-containing material with laccase and beta-glucosidase;
- and
- hydrolyzing the preconditioned lignocellulose-containing material with a cellulolytic enzyme composition to obtain a hydrolysis product.
-28. (canceled)
A process for producing a fermentation product from pretreated lignocellulose-containing material, the process comprising:
- preconditioning a pretreated lignocellulose-containing material, the preconditioning comprising incubating the pretreated lignocellulose-containing material with laccase and beta-glucosidase;
- hydrolyzing the preconditioned lignocellulose-containing material with a cellulolytic enzyme composition to obtain a hydrolysis product;
- and
- fermenting the hydrolysis product to obtain a fermentation product.
