A bioresorbable hemostatic device, comprising:
- (i) a compressed, dehydrated, particularized, extracellular matrix material (ECM) comprising ECM components isolated in their native configuration;
- and, (ii) a sheet like backing comprising the ECM that is applied to the surface of the ECM of (i).
