Dietetic multi-component system

A method of administering a formulation in the form of a multi-component system for use as a medication or food supplement, the formulation including a main component, which contains basic electrolytes, wherein the basic electrolytes are at least 10% by weight of sodium carbonate and/or sodium bicarbonate for pH regulation, and the formulation including one or more additional components physically separated from the main component, which contain vitamins and/or carbohydrates and/or trace elements and/or amino acids/proteins and/or plant extracts,

• the administration method comprising:
• providing a dosing schedule in which administration of the main component and administration of one or more additional components are established independently of one another,
• wherein the dosing schedule is provided such that the one or more additional components of the multi-component system are not administered before the start of the administration of the main component and are not administered after the end of the administration of the main component, and
• wherein the administration of the main component continues as long as the pH in a patient's body is above 7.5.
