Abstract
Control message(s) are transmitted to a wireless device. The control message(s) comprise configuration parameters of cells comprising secondary cells, and parameters for configuration of a random access channel of at least one secondary cell in the plurality of secondary cells. The cells are grouped into cell groups comprising a primary cell group and a secondary cell group. A control command is transmitted. The control command is configurable to cause transmission of a first random access preamble on any one of the secondary cell(s) in the secondary cell group, and unconfigurable to cause transmission of a second random access preamble on any secondary cell in the primary cell group.
Claims20
A base station comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the base station to:
- transmit to a wireless device at least one control message comprising:
- configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, the plurality of cells being grouped into a plurality of cell groups comprising a primary cell group and a secondary cell group;
- and
- a plurality of parameters for configuration of a random access channel of each of at least one secondary cell in the plurality of secondary cells;
- and
- transmit a control command being:
- configurable to cause transmission of a first random access preamble on any one of the at least one secondary cell in the secondary cell group;
- and
- unconfigurable to cause transmission of a second random access preamble on any secondary cell in the primary cell group.
A wireless device comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the base station to:
- receive from a base station at least one control message comprising:
- configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, the plurality of cells being grouped into a plurality of cell groups comprising a primary cell group and a secondary cell group;
- and
- a plurality of parameters for configuration of a random access channel of each of at least one secondary cell in the plurality of secondary cells;
- and
- receive a control command being:
- configurable to cause transmission of a first random access preamble on any one of the at least one secondary cell in the secondary cell group;
- and
- unconfigurable to cause transmission of a second random access preamble on any secondary cell in the primary cell group.
A method comprising:
- transmitting to a wireless device at least one control message comprising:
- configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, the plurality of cells being grouped into a plurality of cell groups comprising a primary cell group and a secondary cell group;
- and
- a plurality of parameters for configuration of a random access channel of each of at least one secondary cell in the plurality of secondary cells;
- and
- transmitting a control command being:
- configurable to cause transmission of a first random access preamble on any one of the at least one secondary cell in the secondary cell group;
- and
- unconfigurable to cause transmission of a second random access preamble on any secondary cell in the primary cell group.
