Abstract
A system that determines a cell density and cell type in an area corresponding to a location of a user equipment; determines a mobility state of the user equipment based on the determined cell density and the determined cell type; and controls cell reselection for the user equipment based on the determined mobility state of the user equipment.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- circuitry configured to
- determine a cell density and cell type in an area corresponding to a location of a user equipment;
- determine a mobility state of the user equipment based on the determined cell density and the determined cell type;
- and
- control cell reselection for the user equipment based on the determined mobility state of the user equipment,
- wherein the cell type includes at least a first cell type corresponding to a macro cell and a second cell type corresponding to a small cell having a smaller coverage area than the macro cell.
