Abstract
Dual-cell or multi-cell Wireless Transmit Receive Units (WTRUs) configured to implement mobility procedures are described. The WTRU configurations implement methods to optimize and allow mobility for the procedures of cell search and cell reselection, measurement reporting and inter-frequency handovers, compressed mode measurements, and soft handovers.

A multi-flow method comprising:
- sending a configuration message to a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) to receive data via a plurality of cells using a single carrier frequency, wherein the plurality of cells includes an anchor cell and a supplementary cell associated with a single base station;
- and
- sending and receiving communications over the anchor cell and the supplementary cell associated with the single base station, wherein the communications over the anchor cell and the supplementary cell are sent and received via the single carrier.
A base station comprising:
- a processor configured to at least:
- send a configuration message to a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) to receive data via a plurality of cells using a single carrier frequency, wherein the plurality of cells includes an anchor cell and a supplementary cell associated with a single base station;
- and
- send and receive communications over the anchor cell and the supplementary cell associated with the single base station, wherein the communications over the anchor cell and the supplementary cell are sent and received via the single carrier.
