Abstract
A method can include detecting at a mobile device controller a communication from a sender to a recipient. One of the sender or the recipient is a mobile device that is registered to operate with a first identity in a mobile network of a service provider and is registered to operate with a second identity in a private network. The method can include determining which identity of the mobile device to employ in response to detecting the communication based on information associated with the communication. The communication can be directed to the recipient using the determined identity.

A communication system comprising:
- a communication detector configured to detect a communication to or from a mobile device, the mobile device being configured to operate in at least a mobile network and a private enterprise network, the mobile device having a personal identity assigned by the mobile network and an enterprise identity assigned by the enterprise network;
- memory configured store mobile data representing at least one of contacts, communication history and messages for the mobile device;
- a mobile identity selector configured to determine which of the personal identity or the enterprise entity to use for each detected communication based on information associated with each detected communication;
- and
- logic configured to tag the mobile data for a given communication as personal mobile data if the mobile identity selector determines to use the personal identity of the mobile device for the given communication and configured to tag the mobile data for the given communication as enterprise mobile data if the mobile identity selector determines to use the enterprise identity of the mobile device for the given communication.
A method comprising:
- detecting a communication to or from a mobile device, the mobile device being configured to operate in at least a mobile network and a private enterprise network, the mobile device having a personal identity assigned by the mobile network and an enterprise identity assigned by the enterprise network;
- storing mobile data in memory to represent at least one of contacts, communication history and messages for the mobile device;
- a mobile identity selector configured to determine which of the personal identity or the enterprise entity to use for the detected communication based on information associated with the detected communication;
- and
- tagging the mobile data for a given communication as personal mobile data if the mobile identity selector determines to use the personal identity of the mobile device for the given communication and configured to tag the mobile data for a given communication as enterprise mobile data if the mobile identity selector determines to use the enterprise identity of the mobile device for the given communication.
