Encoding system using motion estimation and encoding method using motion estimation

An encoding method using motion estimation with an encoding apparatus, the encoding method comprising:

• determining a multi-processing region for processing a plurality of blocks independently or in parallel;
• obtaining motion prediction information relating to a first block in the multiprocessing region independently of a second block other than the first block in the multiprocessing region, the first block being one of the plurality of the blocks in the multiprocessing region;
• determining a motion vector relating to the first block based on the motion prediction information;
• and
• generating a prediction signal relating to the first block by performing an inter prediction based on the determined motion vector and a reference frame stored in a frame buffer,
• wherein the encoding apparatus includes the frame buffer.

A decoding method using motion compensation with a decoding apparatus, the decoding method comprising:

• determining a multi-processing region for processing a plurality of blocks independently or in parallel;
• obtaining motion prediction information relating to a first block in the multiprocessing region independently of a second block other than the first block in the multiprocessing region, the first block being one of the plurality of the blocks in the multiprocessing region;
• determining a motion vector relating to the first block based on the motion prediction information;
• and
• generating a prediction signal relating to the first block by performing an inter prediction based on the determined motion vector and a reference frame stored in a frame buffer,
• wherein the decoding apparatus includes the frame buffer.
