Direct response and feedback system

A method that converts a general computing device into a specific computing machine for analyzing and routing items, the method comprising:

• receiving from a remote input device a social media data stream comprising at least an item;
• in a server
• segregating each item based on the content of that item;
• identifying a trending topic or sentiment;
• scoring each topic and sentiment;
• and
• associating a first preferred recipient with each topic and sentiment;
• then
• routing an item associated with a topic or sentiment to the first preferred recipient;
• and
• posting a response to the originator of the item in the social media data stream.
