Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a bracket and electrical assembly including such bracket for mounting or securing to a concrete masonry unit (CMU).
Claims27
A bracket for securing an electrical assembly within an inner core region of a concrete masonry unit (CMU), the bracket comprising
- a face portion having a front side, a back side, and a bracket opening configured to cooperate with a front opening of an electrical box when the electrical box is positioned on the back side of the face portion;
- and two or more support members extending rearwardly away from the back side for securing the bracket to an inner core surface of the inner core region of the concrete masonry unit (CMU).
An electrical assembly comprising:
- an electrical box having top, bottom, and side walls defining a front opening;
- a bracket for securing the assembly within an inner core region of a concrete masonry unit (CMU), the bracket comprising a face portion having a front side, a back side, and a bracket opening configured to cooperate with the front opening of the electrical box when the electrical box is positioned on the back side of the face portion;
- and two or more support members extending rearwardly away from the back side for securing the bracket to an inner core surface of the inner core region of the concrete masonry unit (CMU);
- and
- a cover plate for positioning on the front side of the face portion and mounting on the electrical box in a covering relationship to the front opening and the bracket opening and capable of mounting an electrical device.
