Specimen fulfillment infrastructure

A computer system comprising one or more computers programmed to:

• host a central clinical data repository and a fulfillment platform;
• wherein the central clinical data repository is configured to:
• receive patient data corresponding to a plurality of patients from a plurality of remote clinical data sources;
• and
• aggregate the received patient data;
• normalize the aggregated patient data;
• and
• wherein the fulfillment platform is configured to:
• receive a request from a requester computing device, wherein the request comprises a cohort definition;
• perform a query on the aggregated patient data based on the request;
• identify a match in the aggregated patient data in response to the query;
• and
• transmit a notification to a source site computing device for the identified match, wherein the notification identifies a patient that matches the cohort definition.

A computer-implemented method comprising:

• receiving clinical data corresponding to a plurality of patients from a plurality of remote clinical data sources;
• aggregating the received clinical data;
• normalizing the aggregated clinical data;
• receiving a request from a requester computing device, wherein the request comprises a cohort definition;
• performing a query on the aggregated clinical data based on the request;
• identifying a match in the aggregated clinical data in response to the query;
• and
• transmitting a notification to a source site computing device, wherein the notification identifies the match.
