Virtual Shared Cache Mechanism in a Processing Device

A method comprising:

• allocating a plurality of clusters into a virtual shared cache, wherein each of the clusters comprise a plurality of cores and a plurality of cache slices co-located within the plurality of cores;
• and
• sharing a cache data in the plurality of cache slices among the plurality of clusters.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium including data that, when accessed by a processing device, cause the processing device to perform operations comprising:

• allocating a plurality of clusters into a virtual shared cache, wherein each of the clusters comprise a plurality of cores and a plurality of cache slices co-located within the plurality of cores;
• and
• sharing a cache data in the plurality of cache slices among the plurality of clusters.
