Adaptive architecture for a mobile application based on rich application, process, and resource contexts and deployed in resource constrained environments

A method comprising:

• combining, by a processor of a device, a first context, a second context, and a third context to create a particular context,
• the first context identifying a context of an application running on the device,
• the second context identifying a context of a process running on the device, and
• the third context identifying a context derived from one or more other devices that are external to the device;
• generating, by the processor, information relating to execution of the application on the device based on the particular context;
• and
• adapting, by the processor, the execution of the application on the device based on the information relating to the execution of the application on the device.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:

• one or more instructions which, when executed by a processor of a device, cause the processor to:
• combine a first context, a second context, and a third context to create a particular context,
• the first context identifying a context of an application running on the device,
• the second context identifying a context of a process running on the device, and
• the third context identifying a context derived from one or more other devices that are external to the device;
• generate information relating to execution of the application on the device based on the particular context;
• and
• adapt the execution of the application on the device based on the information relating to the execution of the application on the device.

A system comprising:

• a device to:
• combine a first context, a second context, and a third context to create a particular context,
• the first context identifying a context of an application running on the device,
• the second context identifying a context of a process running on the device, and
• the third context identifying a context derived from one or more other devices that are external to the device;
• generate information relating to execution of the application on the device based on the particular context;
• and
• adapt the execution of the application on the device based on the information relating to the execution of the application on the device.
