A recognition method, comprising:

• acquiring first information and second information, the first information relating to a first signal corresponding to a state of a first portion of a body performing an action, the state of the first portion changing according to the action, the first signal being generated by a first element mounted to the first portion, the second information relating to a second signal corresponding to a state of a second portion, the state of the second portion changing according to the action, the second signal being generated by a second element mounted to the second portion, a relative positional relationship between the first portion and the second portion changing according to the action;
• and
• calculating a first feature of the first portion based on the first information, calculating a second feature of the second portion based on the second information, and recognizing a type of the action based on a change of the first feature and a change of the second feature.

A non-transitory recording medium recording a recognition program causing a computer to execute:

• acquiring first information and second information, the first information relating to a first signal corresponding to a state of a first portion of a body performing an action, the state of the first portion changing according to the action, the first signal being generated by a first element mounted to the first portion, the second information relating to a second signal corresponding to a state of a second portion, the state of the second portion changing according to the action, the second signal being generated by a second element mounted to the second portion, a relative positional relationship between the first portion and the second portion changing according to the action;
• and
• calculating a first feature of the first portion based on the first information, calculating a second feature of the second portion based on the second information, and recognizing a type of the action based on a change of a first feature and a change of the second feature.
