Abstract
An arrangement in a warehouse and a method for forming narrow rolls are disclosed. The narrow rolls are formed from a jumbo reel. At least two slitting machines are used for forming the narrow rolls. The jumbo reel has an axial direction when positioned on the slitting machine. The narrow rolls are transferred to the warehouse in the axial direction. The at least two slitting machines are positioned overlapping.

An arrangement in a warehouse, said arrangement comprising at least two slitting machines for forming narrow rolls from a jumbo reel, the jumbo reel having an axial direction when positioned on the slitting machine, the narrow rolls being arranged to be transferred to a warehouse in the axial direction, and the at least two slitting machines are positioned overlapping whereby seen from an inlet end of the warehouse in the axial direction a body of one slitting machine is behind a body of another slitting machine.
A method for forming narrow rolls, the method comprising the steps of:
- forming narrow rolls from a jumbo reel by using at least two slitting machines, the jumbo reel having an axial direction when positioned on the slitting machine;
- transferring the narrow rolls to a warehouse in the axial direction;
- and
- positioning the at least two slitting machines overlapping whereby seen from an inlet end of the warehouse in the axial direction a body of one slitting machine is behind a body of another slitting machine.
