Abstract
The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for biologically producing isoprene using methanotrophic bacteria that utilize carbon feedstock, such as methane or natural gas.
Claims44
A genetically engineered methanotrophic bacterium, comprising an exogenous nucleic acid molecule encoding an isoprene synthase, wherein the methanotrophic bacterium is capable of converting a carbon feedstock into isoprene.
