Abstract
A bib and corresponding mounting clip are disclosed. A bib body may include one or more of an upper reinforcement member, a plurality of body reinforcement members, and a plurality of pocket reinforcement members. The upper reinforcement facilitates having the bib body be suspended from the mounting clip at a single location or region. The plurality of body reinforcement members allows the bib body to be shaped to “funnel” food particles and the like, for instance into a pocket incorporated by the bib body. The plurality of pocket reinforcement members may be used to retain such a pocket in an open configuration.

A bib assembly, comprising:
- a bib comprising:
- a bib body comprising a top edge, a bottom edge, and a pair of sides, wherein a longitudinal reference axis extends between said top and bottom edges, wherein a lateral reference axis extends between said pair of sides, and wherein said bib body comprises a first snap connector that is proximate to said top edge;
- and
- an elongated upper reinforcement member incorporated by said bib body, disposed within 1.25″ of said top edge of said bib body, and having a length dimension that extends in a lateral dimension;
- and
- a mounting clip comprising:
- a first section comprising a second snap connector and a first clamping member that are spaced from one another;
- and
- a second clamping member that is movably interconnected with said first clamping member;
- wherein said second snap connector of said mounting clip is detachably connectable with said first snap connector of said bib body;
- wherein said first and second clamping members are collectively rotatable relative to said bib body when said second snap connector of said mounting clip is detachably connected with said first snap connector of said bib body;
- wherein said second clamping member is movable relative to said first clamping member to define open and closed positions for said mounting clip;
- wherein said mounting clip is the only structure of said bib assembly that is available to suspend said bib from an article;
- and
- wherein said bib is suspended from only a single location of the article when said first and second clamping members of said mounting clip is in said closed position and is detachably engaging the article, and wherein said bib is suspended from only a single location at said first snap connector.
