Abstract
In various embodiments, the invention provides phosphine ligand supported first row metal catalysts with surprising and efficacious catalytic activity for hydrosilylation of pi-bonded substrates. Also provided are methods of using the catalysts of the invention to prepare hydrosilylated compounds.
Claims15
A cationic compound which comprises a first row metal atom supported on a phosphorus-containing ligand, said ligand having the Formula:
- wherein
- A, A′, B, B′ C, C′, D, D′, E and E′ are each independently selected from N and CR7 wherein
- each R7 is a member independently selected from H, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, halogen, CN, CF3, acyl, —SO2NR8R9, —NR8R9, —OR8, —S(O)2R8, —C(O)R9, —COOR8, —CONR8R9, —S(O)2OR8, —OC(O)R8, —C(O)NR8R9, —NR8C(O)R9, —NR8SO2R9 and —NO2, wherein two or more of Ra, Rb, Rc, Rd, Re, Rf, Ra′, Rb′, Rc′, Rd′, Re′, and Rf′ together with the atoms to which they are bonded, are optionally joined to form a ring system which is a member selected from substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl and substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl
- wherein
- R8 and R9 include members independently selected from H, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl and substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, and R8 and R9, together with the atoms to which they are bonded, are optionally joined to form a 5- to 7-membered ring;
- m and n are integers independently selected from 0, 1, 2 and 3;
- R3, R4, R5 and R6 are independently selected from H, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, and substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, and R3 and R4 or R5 and R6 are optionally joined, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached to form a ring system, which is a member selected from substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl and substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl having five or six members, said ring system optionally formed by joining a member selected from R3 and E, R5 and E′ and a combination thereof.
