Abstract
A method for producing a tubular member is provide and includes the following steps: extruding a first strand having a first side and a second side with an extrusion die, arranging the first strand into a plurality of helical windings, and bonding the first side and the second side.

A method for producing a tubular member, comprising the steps of:
- extruding a first strand having a first side and a second side with an extrusion die;
- arranging the first strand into a plurality of helical windings;
- and
- bonding the first side and the second side.

- a first strand arranged in a first helical winding and having an extruded first material;
- and
- a second strand having an extruded second material and arranged in a second helical winding adjacent to the first strand forming an outer tube.
An apparatus for producing a tubular member, comprising:
- a first extrusion die for extruding a strand of first material into a helical winding;
- and
- a ledge bonding the helical winding.
