Abstract
A valve driving device using a piezoelectric actuator includes a piezoelectric body of which a volume expands according to a voltage applied thereto. A symmetric displacement increase mechanism amplifies the volume expansion of the piezoelectric body. A swing arm is connected to the symmetric displacement increase mechanism and operated to drive an engine valve according to the amplified expansion of the piezoelectric body.
Claims12
A valve driving device using a piezoelectric actuator, comprising:
- a piezoelectric body of which a volume expands according to a voltage applied thereto;
- a symmetric displacement increase mechanism for amplifying the volume expansion of the piezoelectric body;
- and
- a swing arm connected to the symmetric displacement increase mechanism and operated to drive an engine valve according to the amplified expansion of the piezoelectric body.
