Abstract
A discontinuous reception method, mobile station, base station and wireless communication system are provided in the present invention. The discontinuous reception method in the wireless communication system includes the following steps: in case of a continuous carrier aggregation, setting a common On Duration timer and/or a common Discontinuous Reception inactivity timer for a primary cell and each secondary cell; and in case of a discontinuous carrier aggregation, setting an independent On Duration timers and/or an independent Discontinuous Reception inactivity timers for the primary cell and each secondary cells. The present invention realizes discontinuous reception of the carrier aggregation, thus saving power consumption of the mobile station.

An electronic device, comprising
- circuitry configured to:
- apply separate DRX configurations for a plurality of cells with different attributes while applying a common DRX configuration for a group of cells with a common attribute;
- and
- monitor physical downlink control channels of the plurality of cells based on the corresponding DRX configurations.
A method, comprising
- applying, using circuitry, separate DRX configurations for a plurality of cells with different attributes while applying a common DRX configuration for a group of cells with a common attribute;
- and
- monitoring physical downlink control channels of the plurality of cells based on the corresponding DRX configurations.
A non-transitory computer readable medium encoded with computer-readable instructions thereon, the compute-readable instructions, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a method comprising:
- applying separate DRX configurations for a plurality of cells with different attributes while applying a common DRX configuration for a group of cells with a common attribute;
- and
- monitoring physical downlink control channels of the plurality of cells based on the corresponding DRX configurations.
