Accountable content stores for information centric networks

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that when executed by a computer cause the computer to perform a method, the method comprising:

• receiving a Content Object that is to be cached;
• determining one or more attributes of the Content Object;
• selecting, for the Content Object, a domain associated with one or more of the determined attributes;
• selecting a storage repository associated with the domain;
• and
• storing the Content Object in the selected repository.

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• receiving, by a content-storing device, an Interest for a piece of content;
• performing a lookup operation for a rule associated with the Interest's name, wherein the rule includes a set of commands for performing a programmatic operation;
• and
• executing the rule's commands in response to obtaining the rule.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that when executed by a computer cause the computer to perform a method, the method comprising:

• receiving an Interest for a piece of content;
• performing a lookup operation for a rule associated with the Interest's name, wherein the rule includes a set of commands for performing a programmatic operation;
• and
• executing the rule's commands in response to obtaining the rule.
