Abstract
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for authenticating users using the haptic, aural, and/or olfactory association processing channels that are unique to humans are presented. In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method includes displaying a plurality of images and generating a sensory output, wherein the sensory output includes a tactile sensation that corresponds to one of the plurality of images. The method further includes receiving input corresponding to a selection of an image of the plurality of images and determining whether the selected image matches the one of the plurality of images for which the sensory output corresponds.
Claims30
A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- displaying a plurality of images;
- generating a sensory output, wherein the sensory output includes a tactile sensation that corresponds to one of the plurality of images and simulates a feeling associated with a concept depicted in the one of the plurality of images:
- receiving input corresponding to a selection of an image of the plurality of images;
- and
- determining whether the selected image matches the one of the plurality of images to which the sensory output corresponds.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a display configured to display a plurality of images;
- one or more sensation generators configured to generate one or more sensory outputs, the one or more sensation generators including a tactile sensation generator configured to generate a tactile sensation that corresponds to one of the plurality of images and simulates a feeling associated with a concept depicted in the one of the plurality of images;
- an input device configured to receive input corresponding to a selection of an image of the plurality of images;
- and
- a processor configured to determine whether the selected image matches the one of the plurality of images to which the sensory output corresponds.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more computing devices to:
- display a plurality of images;
- generate a sensory output, wherein the sensory output includes a tactile sensation that corresponds to one of the plurality of images and simulates a feeling associated with a concept depicted in the one of the plurality of images:
- receive input corresponding to a selection of an image of the plurality of images;
- and
- determine whether the selected image matches the one of the plurality of images to which the sensory output corresponds.
An apparatus, comprising:
- means for displaying a plurality of images;
- means for generating a sensory output, wherein the sensory output includes a tactile sensation that corresponds to one of the plurality of images and simulates a feeling associated with a concept depicted in the one of the plurality of images;
- means for receiving input corresponding to a selection of an image of the plurality of images;
- and
- means for determining whether the selected image matches the one of the plurality of images to which the sensory output corresponds.
