Abstract
An improved system and method for producing magnetic structures involves a first magnetizing circuit having a first inductor coil used to magnetically print a first magnetic source onto a magnetizable material and a second magnetizing circuit having a second inductor coil used to magnetically print a second magnetic source onto said magnetizable material.

A magnetic structure, comprising:
- a magnetizable material comprising samarium cobalt, said magnetizable material having a first surface and a second surface opposite said first surface, said magnetizable material having a thickness between said first surface and said second surface;
- and
- a maxel at a location on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel being associated with a first polarity and a second polarity opposite said first polarity, said first polarity associated with said maxel being substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material within a maxel area about said location, said second polarity associated with said maxel being not substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel having a depth within said magnetizable material, wherein a portion of said first surface that is outside said maxel area is one of unmagnetized or magnetized to have said second polarity.
A method of magnetizing a magnetic structure, comprising:
- providing a magnetizable material comprising samarium cobalt, said magnetizable material having a first surface and a second surface opposite said first surface, said magnetizable material having a thickness between said first surface and said second surface;
- and
- printing a maxel at a location on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel being associated with a first polarity and a second polarity opposite said first polarity, said first polarity associated with said maxel being substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material within a maxel area about said location, said second polarity associated with said maxel being not substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel having a depth within said magnetizable material, wherein a portion of said first surface that is outside said maxel area is one of unmagnetized or magnetized to have said second polarity.
A magnetic structure, comprising:
- a magnetizable material comprising samarium cobalt, said magnetizable material having a first surface and a second surface opposite said first surface, said magnetizable material having a thickness between said first surface and said second surface;
- and
- a maxel at a location on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel being associated with a first polarity and a second polarity opposite said first polarity, said first polarity associated with said maxel being substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material within a maxel area about said location, said second polarity associated with said maxel being not substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel having a depth within said magnetizable material, wherein a portion of said first surface that is outside said maxel area is magnetized to have said second polarity.
A method of magnetizing a magnetic structure, comprising:
- providing a magnetizable material comprising samarium cobalt, said magnetizable material having a first surface and a second surface opposite said first surface, said magnetizable material having a thickness between said first surface and said second surface;
- and
- printing a maxel at a location on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel being associated with a first polarity and a second polarity opposite said first polarity, said first polarity associated with said maxel being substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material within a maxel area about said location, said second polarity associated with said maxel being not substantially exposed on said first surface of said magnetizable material, said maxel having a depth within said magnetizable material, wherein a portion of said first surface that is outside said maxel area is magnetized to have said second polarity.
