Method for displaying message and electronic device

An electronic device comprising:

• a memory configured to store a speech signal received from at least one of:
• an audio module configured to receive the speech signal from a microphone, and
• a communication module configured to receive a voice message including the speech signal from an external electronic device;
• a speech-to-text conversion module configured to control conversion, to a text representation, of at least a part of the speech signal corresponding to a voice message object;
• and
• a display module for displaying, within the voice message object, a part of the text representation corresponding to the at least the part of the speech signal, a first object selectable to fully view the text representation, and a second object selectable to play back the stored speech signal.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program for executing a method of displaying a message, the method comprising:

• receiving a speech signal;
• converting, to a text representation, at least a part of the speech signal corresponding to a voice message object;
• and
• displaying, within the voice message object, a part of the text representation, corresponding to the at least the part of the speech signal, a first object selectable to fully view the text representation, and a object selectable to play back the speech signal within a voice message object.
