Methods and systems for preventing a user from terminating a service based on the accessibility of a preferred media asset

A system for preventing users from terminating services, the system comprising:

• storage circuitry configured to store content associated with preventing the user from terminating the service;
• and
• control circuitry configured to:
• determine a user is subscribed to a first service;
• determine media assets accessible through the first service;
• retrieve a viewing history for the user from a user profile;
• identify a preferred media asset of the media assets based on the viewing history;
• determine whether the preferred media asset is accessible through a second service;
• and
• in response to determining the preferred media asset is accessible through the second service, generate for display, on a display device, the content associated with preventing the user from terminating the service.
