Abstract
A light emitting structure may include a light emitting element(s) arranged in a transparent dielectric material. The light emitting element(s) may include a semiconductor nanostructure arranged in a display orientation different from a growth orientation of the semiconductor nanostructure. The light emitting element(s) may also include a well layer on the semiconductor nanostructure. The light emitting element(s) may further include a capping layer on the well layer. The light emitting structure may also include a contact layer coupled to the light emitting element(s).
Claims26
A light emitting structure, comprising:
- at least one light emitting element arranged in a transparent dielectric material, the light emitting element comprising:
- a semiconductor nanostructure arranged in a display orientation different from a growth orientation of the semiconductor nanostructure,
- a well layer on the semiconductor nanostructure, and
- a capping layer on the well layer;
- and
- a contact layer coupled to the at least one light emitting element.
A method for manufacturing a light emitting structure, comprising:
- fabricating at least one light emitting element in a transparent dielectric material, the light emitting element comprising:
- a semiconductor nanostructure arranged in a display orientation different from a growth orientation of the semiconductor nanostructure,
- a well layer on the semiconductor nanostructure, and
- a capping layer on the well layer;
- and
- forming a contact layer coupled to the at least one light emitting element.
A light emitting structure, comprising:
- at least one light emitting element arranged in a transparent dielectric material, the light emitting element comprising:
- a means for coupling molecular structures arranged in a display orientation different from a growth orientation of the molecular structure coupling means,
- a well layer on the semiconductor nanostructure, and
- a capping layer on the well layer;
- and
- a contact layer coupled to the at least one light emitting element.
