Central determination gaming system with a central controller providing a game outcome and a gaming terminal determining a presentation of the provided game outcome

A gaming device configured to operate under control of at least one processor, said gaming device comprising:

• a housing;
• a plurality of input devices supported by the housing, said plurality of input devices including:
• (i) an acceptor, and
• (ii) a cashout device;
• at least one display device supported by the housing;
• at least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to operate with the at least one display device and the plurality of input devices to:
• (a) if a physical item is received via the acceptor, establish a credit balance based, at least in part, on a monetary value associated with the received physical item,
• (b) receive a wager placed on a play of a game, said credit balance being decreasable based on said wager placed,
• (c) receive a game outcome from at least one controller,
• (d) after receiving the game outcome, select a game outcome presentation seed, wherein said selected game outcome presentation seed is based on said received game outcome,
• (e) after and separate from the selection of the game outcome presentation seed, determine a game outcome presentation based on the selected game outcome presentation seed,
• (f) display the determined game outcome presentation,
• (g) display any award associated with the received game outcome, wherein the credit balance is increasable based on any award associated with the received game outcome, and
• (h) if a cashout input is received via the cashout device, cause an initiation of any payout associated with the credit balance.

A method of operating a gaming system, said gaming system including at least one controller configured to communicate with a plurality of gaming devices, said method comprising:

• (a) receiving a wager placed on a play of a game at a first one of the gaming devices, wherein a credit balance is decreasable based on the wager placed, said credit balance being:
• (i) increasable via an acceptor of a physical item associated with a monetary value, and (ii) decreasable via a cashout device;
• (b) causing the at least one controller to:
• (i) maintain a game outcome set including a plurality of predetermined game outcomes,
• (ii) select at least one game outcome from the game outcome set,
• (iii) flag said selected game outcome, and
• (iv) output the selected game outcome to the first one of the gaming devices;
• and
• (c) causing the first one of the gaming devices to:
• (i) receive the game outcome outputted from the at least one controller,
• (ii) after receiving the outputted game outcome, select a game outcome presentation seed based on said received game outcome,
• (iii) after and separate from the selection of the game outcome presentation seed, determine a game outcome presentation based on the selected game outcome presentation seed,
• (iv) display the determined game outcome presentation, and
• (v) display any award associated with the received game outcome, wherein the credit balance is increasable based on any award associated with the received game outcome.

A method of operating a gaming device, said method comprising:

• (a) receiving a wager placed on a play of a game, wherein a credit balance is decreasable based on the wager placed, said credit balance being:
• (i) increasable via an acceptor of a physical item associated with a monetary value, and (ii) decreasable via a cashout device;
• (b) receiving a game outcome from at least one controller;
• (c) after receiving the game outcome, causing at least one processor to execute a plurality of instructions to select a game outcome presentation seed, wherein said selected game outcome presentation seed is based on said received game outcome;
• (d) after and separate from the selection of the game outcome presentation seed, causing the at least one processor to execute the plurality of instructions to determine a game outcome presentation based on the selected game outcome presentation seed;
• (e) causing at least one display device to display the determined game outcome presentation;
• and
• (f) causing the at least one display device to display any award associated with the received game outcome, wherein the credit balance is increasable based on any award associated with the received game outcome.
