Method And Apparatus For Locating Unit In Assembly

An apparatus for locating a target unit in an assembly, comprising:

• an imaging device operatively coupled to the apparatus, the imaging device to capture and transmit an image of the assembly;
• a processor in communication with memory, the processor to receive the image from the imaging device, the processor programmed to:
• obtain an identification of the target unit in the assembly;
• acquire an image of at least a part of the assembly, the image including a visual code associated with the part;
• decode the visual code to obtain an identification of at least one unit in the part;
• and
• determine that the target unit is included in the part responsive to the identification of the target unit matching the identification of the at least one unit.

An assembly, comprising:

• at least one component;
• an identification providing module configured to provide an identification of a target component of the at least one component;
• and
• at least one visual code, each visual code associated with a part of the assembly and including an identification of a component of the at least one component located in the part.
