Abstract
An image processing apparatus comprising: an obtaining unit configured to obtain a plurality of radiation images that have been sensed without arranging an object and include a defect, and information about the defect included in the radiation images; and a generation unit configured to generate a sensitivity correction image not including the defect based on the plurality of radiation images and the information about the defect.

An image processing apparatus comprising:
- an obtaining unit configured to obtain a plurality of radiation images that have been sensed without arranging an object and include a defect, and information about the defect included in the radiation images;
- and
- a generation unit configured to generate a sensitivity correction image not including the defect based on the plurality of radiation images and the information about the defect.
A radiation imaging apparatus that detects irradiation with a radiation from a change of an internal current and transits to an image sensing state, comprising:
- an obtaining unit configured to obtain a plurality of radiation images that have been sensed without arranging an object and include a defect, and information about the defect included in the radiation images;
- and
- a generation unit configured to generate a sensitivity correction image not including the defect based on the plurality of radiation images and the information about the defect.
A radiation imaging system including a radiation generation apparatus that generates and emits a radiation, a radiation imaging apparatus that detects irradiation with a radiation from a change of an internal current and transits to an image sensing state, and an image processing apparatus that performs predetermined processing on a radiation image obtained from the radiation imaging apparatus, comprising:
- an obtaining unit configured to obtain a plurality of radiation images that have been sensed without arranging an object and include a defect, and information about the defect included in the radiation images;
- and
- a generation unit configured to generate a sensitivity correction image not including the defect based on the plurality of radiation images and the information about the defect.
A method for controlling an image processing apparatus, comprising the steps of:
- obtaining a plurality of radiation images that have been sensed without arranging an object and include a defect, and information about the defect included in the radiation images;
- and
- generating a sensitivity correction image not including the defect based on the plurality of radiation images and the information about the defect.
A method for controlling a radiation imaging apparatus that detects irradiation with a radiation from a change of an internal current and transits to an image sensing state, comprising the steps of:
- obtaining a plurality of radiation images that have been sensed without arranging an object and include a defect, and information about the defect included in the radiation images;
- and
- generating a sensitivity correction image not including the defect based on the plurality of radiation images and the information about the defect.
A radiation imaging apparatus comprising:
- an imaging unit configured to detect a start of irradiation with a radiation based on a radiation dose detected by a radiation detector, and sense a radiation image by using the radiation detector;
- an obtaining unit configured to obtain a plurality of base images by emitting a radiation in a state in which no object exists, and performing imaging by said imaging unit;
- a discrimination unit configured to discriminate, as for the plurality of base images, an artifact region arising from a time difference between a start of actual irradiation with a radiation and detection of the start of irradiation;
- and
- a creation unit configured to create a gain image for gain correction by compositing the plurality of base images without using image information of the artifact region discriminated by said discrimination unit.
A gain image creation method by a radiation imaging apparatus including an imaging unit configured to detect a start of irradiation with a radiation based on a radiation dose detected by a radiation detector, and sense a radiation image by using the radiation detector, the method comprising:
- an obtaining step of emitting a radiation in a state in which no object exists, and obtaining a plurality of base images by performing imaging by the imaging unit;
- a discrimination step of discriminating, as for the plurality of base images, an artifact region arising from a time difference between a start of actual irradiation with a radiation and detection of the start of irradiation;
- and
- a creation step of creating a gain image for gain correction by compositing the plurality of base images without using image information of the artifact region discriminated in the discrimination step.
