Scalable visualization of a product and its variants

A computer system for generating a hierarchical data structure, the computer system comprising:

• one or more processors, one or more computer-readable memories, one or more computer-readable tangible storage medium, and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more tangible storage medium for execution by at least one of the one or more processors via at least one of the one or more memories, wherein the computer system is capable of performing a method comprising:
• mapping at least one component within a plurality of components to the hierarchical data structure;
• mapping at least one sub-component within a plurality of sub-components to the at least one mapped component;
• mapping at least one variant within a plurality of variants to the hierarchical data structure as an accordion user interface widget;
• mapping at least one variant component within a plurality of variant components to the at least one mapped component as an accordion user interface widget;
• and
• mapping at least one variant sub-component within a plurality of variant sub-components to the at least one mapped sub-component as an accordion user interface widget.

A computer program product generating a hierarchical data structure, the computer program product comprising:

• one or more computer-readable tangible storage medium and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more tangible storage medium, the program instructions executable by a processor, the program instructions comprising:
• program instructions to map at least one component within a plurality of components to the hierarchical data structure;
• program instructions to map at least one sub-component within a plurality of sub- components to the at least one mapped component;
• program instructions to map at least one variant within a plurality of variants to the hierarchical data
• structure as an accordion user interface widget;
• program instructions to map at least one variant component within a plurality of variant components to the at least one mapped component as an accordion user interface widget;
• and
• program instructions to map at least one variant sub-component within a plurality of variant sub-components to the at least one mapped sub-component as an accordion user interface widget.
