An apparatus for preserving fidelity of bounded rich text appearance by maintaining reflow when converting between interactive and flat documents across different environments comprising:

• a computer having one or more processors and further comprising:
• a text processing module configured to receive an image, text data, and formatting metadata corresponding to text entered on a webpage, and process the text data using the image and formatting metadata to selectively add newline characters to the text data based on a count of characters in lines of the entered text.

A non-transient computer readable medium for storing computer instructions that, when executed by at least one processor causes the at least one processor to perform a method for preserving fidelity of bounded rich text appearance by maintaining reflow when converting between interactive and flat documents across different environments comprising:

• receiving an image, text data, and formatting metadata corresponding to text entered on a webpage;
• and
• processing the text data using the image and formatting metadata to selectively add newline characters to the text data based on a count of characters in lines of the entered text.
