Display apparatus and controlling method thereof

A display apparatus, comprising:

• a display configured to display an image content;
• an input unit configured to receive a power-off command from a control apparatus, the power-off command for turning off the display apparatus;
• a storage;
• and
• a controller configured to:
• control the storage to store image content information and identification information, the image content information being about an image content which is displayed by the display apparatus at a time when the power-off command is input, and the identification information being about the control apparatus,
• determine, in response to a power-on command being input, whether information included in the power-on command matches the stored identification information, and
• display, in response to the information included in the power-on command matching the stored identification information, the stored image content information.
