Browsing and selecting content items based on user gestures

A method comprising:

• providing a selection graphical user interface comprising a plurality of content items, wherein one or more content items of the plurality of content items is in a selected state, the content items each being selectable or un-selectable by a first type of user interaction;
• detecting, by at least one processor, a second type of user interaction with a content item of the plurality of content items;
• transitioning from the selection graphical user interface to an enlarged view of the content item upon detecting the second type of user interaction with the content item;
• transitioning from the enlarged view of the content item to the selection graphical user interface;
• and
• maintaining the one or more content items in the selected state during transitioning between the selection graphical user interface and the enlarged view of the content item.

A method comprising:

• providing a content graphical user interface comprising a plurality of content items;
• providing an enlarged view of a content item of the plurality of content items upon detecting, by at least one processor, a first type of user interaction with the content item;
• and
• transitioning from the content graphical user interface to a selection graphical user interface upon detecting, by the at least one processor, a second type of user interaction with the content item, wherein the content items are selectable or un-selectable by one or more user interactions in the selection graphical user interface.
