Abstract
The present invention relates to abiotic stress-inducible derivative promoters from Xerophyta viscosa, nucleotide cassettes, recombinant vectors, cells and transgenic plants containing the promoter in operable linkage with a heterologous transcribable DNA sequence.
Claims12
A derivative promoter comprising a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a nucleic acid sequence that exhibits at least 80% sequence identity to any one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 1-3;
- and
- (b) a nucleic acid sequence of any one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 1-3;
