Horizontal Support System

A system for delivering material being transported by a conveyor entraining the material within a flow of fluid, wherein said system comprises:

• a tube for receiving the fluid flow entraining the material;
• and
• a separator connected to said tube, wherein said separator comprises an inlet for the fluid flow entraining the material, an outlet tube, at least a wall for interconnecting said inlet and said outlet tube, a through aperture between said wall and said outlet tube for at least flowing a portion of the fluid flow entraining the material therethrough to be within said outlet tube, means for separating the material from the fluid flow within said outlet tube of at least the portion of the fluid flow entraining the material therewithin, and means for depositing the material from said separating means out of said separator;
• wherein said inlet, said depositing means, and essentially entirely said wall are on a proximal side of said through aperture and essentially entirely said outlet tube is on a distal side of said through aperture.

A system for protecting a horizontal section of an outlet of a conveyor depositing material, wherein said system comprises:

• at least one clamp assembly mounted on the horizontal section;
• a deflector for protecting the horizontal section;
• and
• a set of stanchions for each respective said clamp assembly supporting said deflector above the horizontal section.

A support comprising:

• a leg having an upper end and a lower end;
• a foot attached to said lower end;
• and
• a pin on said foot for selectively locking said support in a deployed position.

A clamp assembly for clamping around a tube, said clamp assembly comprising:

• two equal halves each having two ends and an outer side having an outer surface;
• a flange for each said end, wherein said flanges of adjacent said ends form end brackets, respectively;
• a flange for each said side circumferentially perpendicular to said outer surface thereof, each said flange for said sides comprising a connection point for interconnecting the tube with another object, respectively;
• and
• reinforcing gussets for each said flange of said sides.

A method of removing material from a storage, wherein the storage has an outlet of a conveyor for delivering the material to the storage, a system for supporting the outlet within the storage comprising a plurality of spaced, removable legs mounted in deployed positions, and a sweep comprising bumpers, wherein said method comprises:

• extracting the material until one of the removable legs is accessible out of the material;
• removing the one leg from the deployed position thereof;
• placing the one leg onto the supporting system in a stored position thereof;
• operating the sweep to continue extracting more of the material until one of the bumpers bumps into another of the legs that is still mounted in the deployed position thereof;
• stopping the sweep;
• removing the other leg from the deployed position thereof;
• placing the other leg onto the supporting system in a stored position thereof;
• continuing said operating and said stopping the sweep sequentially for each of the legs that is still mounted in the deployed position thereof, and removing and placing each of the legs that is still mounted in the deployed position thereof from the deployed position thereof onto the supporting system in a stored position thereof until all of the legs are in the stored positions thereof;
• and
• operating the sweep to continue extracting more of the material.
