Abstract
A hand-powered jump starter for a vehicle is a manually actuated generator, either directly or by storing charge in a capacitor, produces 12V DC at high current for a brief duration sufficient for the vehicle's electric starter motor to turn the engine over.

A hand powered jump starter for a vehicle comprising a jump starter;
- a pair of levers;
- said pair of levers being affixed to each side surface of said jump starter;
- a pair of cables;
- said pair of cables being affixed to the top of said jump starter;
- said pair of cables terminating in a pair of clamps;
- said pair of levers being configured for applying twelve volts direct current across said pair of clamps.
