Abstract
A foam structure includes: a first core material and a second core material that are obtained by splitting a foam body at a linear groove part, the groove part being formed in the foam body for fitting with a reinforcing material, and the reinforcing material into which the first core material and the second core material are respectively fitted from one side and the other side of the reinforcing material.
Claims9
A foam structural material comprising:
- a first core material;
- a second core material, the first core material and the second core material being split from a single foam body at a linear groove part, a first portion of the linear groove part being formed along an edge of the first core material and a second portion of the linear groove part being formed along an edge of the second core material, and
- a reinforcing material having a first side fitted to the first portion of the linear groove part and a second side fitted to the second portion of the linear groove part securing the first core material to the second core material.
A method for manufacturing a resin panel including a foam structural material and skin material sheets that cover the foam structural material, the method comprising:
- splitting a foam body to obtain a first core material and a second core material, with a linear groove part being formed in the foam body between the first core material and the second core material;
- fitting a reinforcing material to the first core material and second core material such that a first side of the reinforcing material is fitted to an edge of the first core material and a second side of the reinforcing material is fitted to the second core material within the linear groove part, thereby assembling the foam structural material in which the first and second core materials and the reinforcing material are fixedly united;
- and
- welding resin sheets to the foam structural material, the resin sheets defining the skin material sheets.
