Abstract
The present invention relates to a docosahexaenoic acid ester including an alcohol selected from among the group made up of nicotinol, panthenol, inositol, isosorbide, and isosorbide mononitrate, or one of the pharmaceutically acceptable salts, enantiomers, diastereoisomers, or mixtures thereof, including racemic mixtures, for the use thereof as a drug for the prophylactic and/or curative treatment of drepanocytosis.

An ester of docosahexaenoic acid with an alcohol selected from the group formed by:
- nicotinol having the following formula:
- panthenol having the following formula:
- inositol having the following formula:
- isosorbide having the following formula:
- and isosorbide mononitrate having the following formula:
- or one of the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, the enantiomers, diastereoisomers or a mixture thereof, including racemic mixtures, for use thereof as medicinal product for the prophylactic and/or curative treatment of drepanocytosis.
