Interaction of audio, video, effects and architectural lighting with bowling scoring system and methods of use

A bowling center control system, the system comprising:

• at least one building control system selected from the group of a security camera system, a security system, a life safety system and HVAC system;
• one or more special effect components configured to produce at least one special effect in response to an instruction to produce the at least one special effect;
• and
• a management system operably connected to the one or more special effect components and comprising:
• a processing device, and
• a non-transitory computer readable medium in communication with the processing device, the non-transitory computer readable medium comprising one or more programming instructions for causing the processing device to perform one or more functions, thereby causing the management system to:
• store a listing of one or more trigger events as well as any special effects associated with each trigger event,
• monitor at least a portion of activity within the bowling center for detection of an occurrence of one of the one or more trigger events,
• determine whether a trigger event has occurred, and
• if a trigger event is determine to have occurred:
• determine one or more special effects associated with the trigger event,
• provide special effects instructions to the one or more special effect components to perform the one or more special effects associated with the trigger event and
• provide a user interface for the at least one building control system through the management system.

A method for controlling a bowling center including at least one building control system selected from the group of a security camera system, a security system, a life safety system and HVAC system, the method comprising:

• storing, by a management system, a listing of one or more trigger events as well as any special effects associated with each trigger event;
• receiving, by the management system from at least one input device, initialization information related to operation of the at least a portion of a bowling center;
• receiving, by the management system, event occurrence information from one or more detection devices;
• monitoring, by the management system, the event occurrence information for occurrence of one of the one or more trigger events having at least one associated special effect;
• determining, by the management system, whether a one of the one or more trigger events having at least one associated special effect has occurred, and
• in response to one of the one or more trigger events having at least one associated special effect occurring:
• determining, by the management system, one or more special effects associated with the trigger event,
• providing, by the management system, instructions to one or more special effect components to perform the one or more special effects associated with the trigger event;
• and
• providing a user interface for the at least one building control system through the management system.

A system for providing an interactive bowling experience, the system comprising:

• a management system comprising:
• a processing device, and
• a non-transitory computer readable medium in communication with the processing device, the non-transitory computer readable medium comprising one or more programming instructions for causing the processing device to perform one or more functions, thereby causing the management system to:
• track a location of a rolled bowling ball,
• communicate with the management system;
• and
• provide special effects instructions to one or more special effect components to perform one or more special effects at the tracked location of the rolled bowling ball.
