Abstract
A heating system comprises at least one IR heating device 3 and at least one optical element arranged to focus or direct IR radiation emitted by the IR heating device 3 onto an object to be heated 1.
Claims56
A heating system comprising at least one IR heating device and at least one optical element arranged to focus or direct IR radiation emitted by the IR heating device onto an object to be heated.
A heating system as claimed in any preceding claim comprising at least one IR detector for detecting IR radiation emitted by the IR heating device.
A heating system as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein the at least one IR heating device is arranged to flash periodically, preferably at a high frequency.
A heating system as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein the at least one IR heating device comprises an IR LED and/or an IR laser.
A heating system as claimed in any preceding claim, further comprising a controller arranged to control the IR radiation emitted by at least one of the at least one IR heating device such that it is focused or directed onto the object to be heated.
A heating system as claimed in any preceding claim, further comprising a further heating device arranged to heat an area in which the object to be heated is located.
A method of heating an object using a heating system comprising at least one IR heating device and at least one optical element;
- the method comprising focusing or directing IR radiation emitted by the IR heating device onto the object to be heated with the optical element.
A heating system comprising at least one IR heating device and at least one IR detector, wherein the IR detector is arranged to detect the direction of IR radiation received directly and/or indirectly from the IR heating device.
A method of heating an object using a heating system comprising at least one IR heating device and at least one IR detector, the method comprising detecting the direction of IR radiation received directly and/or indirectly from the IR heating device at the IR detector.
A heating system comprising at least one IR heating device and at least one IR detector for detecting IR radiation emitted by the at least one IR heating device, wherein at least one of the at least one IR heating device is arranged to flash periodically.
A method of heating an object using a heating system comprising at least one IR heating device and at least one IR detector, the method comprising detecting IR radiation emitted by the at least one IR heating device with the at least one detector, wherein at least one of the at least one IR heating device flashes periodically.
A heating system designed for heating a person (or persons) in a building characterised by the fact that it is only the person in a building, which sought to be heated.
