Abstract
The invention pertains in general to devices, systems and methods for removing vapor and heat generated during a restoration cycle in an optical disc restoration device.
Claims12
An optical disc restoration device with a vapor and heat removal system including:
- a platen for holding an optical disc;
- at least one rotating pad for polishing said optical disc;
- a water supply means;
- one or more fan blades, wherein said one or more fan blades are attached on the side of said pads opposite of the side that restores said optical disc;
- and,
- one or more exhaust ports, wherein said one or more exhaust ports provides for removal of said vapor and heat from said optical disc restoration device when said fan blades rotate.
3 more elements
A method for reducing vapor and heat build-up in an optical disc restoration device, the methods including the steps of:
- attaching at least one fan blade to at least one rotating pad;
- rotating said fan blades when said pads rotate during an optical disc restoration cycle;
- removing heat produced during said restoration cycle through said fan blades;
- and,
- providing at least one exhaust port for removal of said vapor and said heat.
