Abstract
A turbomachine may include a turbine arranged in a housing and configured to be acted on with a hot working medium. The turbomachine may include at least one bypass channel for heating the housing through the working medium. The bypass channel may extend completely within the housing and be configured to bypass the turbine.
Claims20
A turbomachine, comprising:
- a turbine arranged in a housing and configured to be acted on with a hot working medium, and
- at least one bypass channel for heating the housing through the working medium, the bypass channel extending completely within the housing and configured to bypasss the turbine.
An internal combustion engine, comprising:
- a Clausius-Rankine cycle including a turbomachine integrated therein, the turbomachine including:
- a turbine arranged in a housing, the turbine configured to receive a hot working medium;
- and
- at least one bypass channel for heating the housing via the working medium, the bypass channel extending completely within the housing and configured to bypass the turbine.
1 more element
A turbomachine for an internal combustion engine, comprising:
- a turbine arranged in a housing, the turbine configured to receive a hot working medium via a line;
- at least one first bypass channel for heating the housing via the working medium, the bypass channel extending completely within the housing and configured to bypass the turbine, wherein the at least one first bypass channel includes a heating element to facilitate heat transfer of the working medium to the housing;
- at least one second bypass channel thermally insulated from the housing and arranged separate from the at least one first bypass channel, the at least one second bypass channel configured to bypass the turbine;
- a first coupling point arranged in the housing, the first coupling point connecting an inlet side of the at least one first bypass channel and an inlet side of the at least one second bypass channel to the line;
- and
- a valve device arranged at the first coupling point within the housing, the valve device operable to redirect a working medium flow among at least one of (i) the at least one first bypass channel, (ii) the at least one second bypass channel and (iii) the turbine.
