Claims35
A single ply roofing membrane comprising in a single ply membrane:
- a top layer, a scrim layer, and a bottom layer, the bottom layer comprising a bottom layer surface having at least one non-embossed band and an embossing region comprising embossing,
- wherein the embossing
- extends from the bottom layer surface into the bottom layer and
- comprises truncated pyramids having curvilinear bases.
A method of making a single ply roofing membrane, the method comprising:
- extruding and calendering a molten membrane;
- embossing a bottom layer of the membrane such that the bottom layer comprises at least one non-embossed band and at least one embossing region, wherein the embossing comprises truncated pyramids having curvilinear bases;
- and
- solidifying the molten membrane.
A method of installing a single ply roofing membrane on a roof deck comprising the steps of:
- providing the roofing membrane in a roll form;
- unrolling a desired length of said roofing membrane;
- and
- adhering the roofing membrane on a roof deck;
- wherein the roofing membrane comprises a top layer, a scrim layer, and a bottom layer in a single ply membrane;
- wherein the bottom layer comprises at least one non-embossed band and at least one embossing region adjacent to the non-embossed band;
- and wherein the embossing comprises truncated pyramids having curvilinear bases.
