1-13. (canceled)
A refractory material withstanding high temperatures in an oxidizing medium, said material containing:
- 50% by volume HfB2;
- 25% by volume HfC;
- and
- 25% by volume TaB2.
A method of making a part out of refractory material withstanding high temperatures in an oxidizing medium, the method comprising:
- making a composition containing:
- 50% by volume HfB2;
- 25% by volume HfC;
- 25% by volume TaB2;
- and
- shaping the composition and densifying said composition.
A method of making a protective layer that withstands high temperatures in an oxidizing medium on a part comprising a substrate made of a determined material, said method comprising:
- applying on the part a composition containing:
- 50% by volume HfB2;
- 25% by volume HfC;
- 25% by volume TaB2;
- and
- densifying said composition.
